Running in general and ultra-marathon running takes a huge amount of commitment. You go through some very tough moments, certainly during comrades. When you run simply for the sake of running, it's empty. Running for a cause gives you the strength and meaning to the endeavor. Couples struggling to have children are "running" a far greater and more difficult journey and with each step we take as runners knowing that we are doing our small part to make their dreams a reality is all the motivation we need.

Running is a metaphor for life, often it’s about putting one foot in front of the other and constantly moving forward. When the going gets tough on comrades day, knowing that it’s for an important cause motivates me to keep moving forward. There’s never been a more important time in modern history to do whatever we can to play a role in helping to bring more Jewish children into the world. Am Yisrael Chai
