Running for a cause doesn’t happen often and really transforms one’s race into a super meaningful activity, infusing it with the impetus of a spiritual “gel”.
When running to raise funds for The Malka Ella Foundation fertility treatments, I’m inspired by the dictum of our great sages who bring that “whoever saves a single soul is considered as if he had saved an entire world”. It stands to reason that if that is for saving a soul how much more so for bringing a soul into the world.
But there is more because it is not only that soul itself but also all the future souls that will emanate from that soul.
Anyone who partners with us in this amazing cause will surely be justly rewarded for participating in these great merits in addition to the great mitzvah of yishuv ha’olam (settling the world).
